Biography:

Tina Guanting Qiu is an accomplished ophthalmology physician, trained retinal surgeon, stem cell biologist, and ocular transplant specialist with over 20 years of international experience. She had led scientific research in drug discovery, drug delivery and cell/gene therapy, established and led scientific and medical advisory boards, and served as a strategic advisor to executives in large and small companies (Inotek, LambdaVision, Sucampo, Ocata, GLG). She was Chief Medical Officer at BetaStem Inc., Senior Director at Inotekand Program Leader at GlaxoSmithKline. She has a Medical Doctor degree (with honors) from Nanchang University, a PhD in Ophthalmology from National Sun Yat-sen University in collaboration with Sheie Eye Institute, UPenn followed by post-doctoral trainings at Boston University and Doheny Eye Institute, USC. She has developed, published and lectured across US, UK, Japan and China, and been featured at Scientific American and National Eye Research Center, UK.

Biography:

Francisco Torrens is lecturer in physical chemistry at the Universitat de València. After obtaining a PhD in molecular associations in azines and macrocycles from the Universitat de València, Dr. Torrens undertook postdoctoral research with Professor Rivail at the Université de Nancy I. More recently, Dr. Torrens has collaborated on projects with Professors Tomás-Vert, Salgado and Castellano.

Bing-Huei Chen, male, food scientist, received his Ph.D. degree in Food Science & Technology, Texas A & M University, USA in 1988. His postgraduate career includes working at Fu Jen University, Taipei, Taiwan as Associate Professor from 1988–1994, Professor from 1994–2000, Distinguished Chair Professor from 2004–present, Chair of Department of Nutrition and Food Science from 1994-2000, Director of Graduate Institute of Medicine from 2006–2009.

Rashid Nahar , MD, FRCS is graduate of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine where he attended his undergraduate Studies and achieved his MD. Dr.Nahar trained at Aleppo Eye surgical Hospital, during his residency he was able to provide clinical and surgical consultations. completed 1 year of Glaucoma Fellowship at the hospital and gained International Council of ophthalmology examinations and was awarded Cornea and External diseases Fellowship in University Hospital / Bern / Switzerland in 2010. He accomplished his Fellowship in Surgical and Medical Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Glasgow /UK in 2016 and currently working in Dept. of Ophthalmology, University Hospital Galway / Ireland where he has clinical and surgical rotation. His last participation was in assessing Patients’ pain perception during cataract surgery using topical and intra-cameral anaesthesia which was presented in RAMI Ophthalmology Meeting, Nov. 2018 in Dublin/ Ireland.
